Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Even in only a day you can get an insight into Laos' ethnic groups during Fair Trekking. During this hike you will encounter Hmong and Khmu people offering you a brief look into their way of life. Be part of cultural exchange and contribute to these communities through your participation on this tour. Money from this tour goes directly into the communities that you visit. This co-operative effort in conjunction with Lao people places local employment and alternative livelihoods as a high priority.

This tour is operated by Tiger Trail Outdoor Adventures. As part of the Fair Trek community based tourism project , Tiger Trail adheres to eco-tourism guidelines and has developed a reputation for providing employment locally, investing in training its staff, using local products and caring for the local wildlife.
