Half Day Elephant Experience

Duration: 4 hour(s) - Location: Luang Prabang

This half day elephant experience will take you out into the beautiful Lao countryside and introduce you to the protected Asian elephants at the "Elephant Village", a private initiative to save elephants from brutal logging work in Laos.

The money from your tour fee will be aiding to host the protected elephants in the "Elephant Village", as well as supporting the development work in the rural area of the Ban Xieng Lom village

Itinerary

Together with your local guide you will proceed to the Elephant Project and the "Elephant Village" about 15 km out of town and settled on the banks of the Nam Khan river. Here you will be introduced to the elephants and go out for a scenic ride through the beautiful settings along the river. Enjoy the new perspective and the wonderful nature on this 1 hour elephant ride.

A stunning landscape, tranquillity and lush nature gives you a relaxed stay on the back of the elephant. Lean back in your seat and enjoy...

Lunch will be served on the river view terrace overlooking the Nam Khan river overlooking the surrounding landscapes. A short boat ride will bring you to the amazing Tad Sae waterfalls (not in dry season from Jan-August). Here you can hang out and relax for a while in the refreshing cascades. A short boat trip will bring you back to the Elephant Village. A transfer back to Luang Prabang will be arranged and you should arrive back in town about 14:00.
