Villa Merry Lao Swiss

The Villa Merry Lao-Swiss is a family operated boutique hotel sitting at the base of Phousi Mountain, of which the hotel's suite rooms have an exceptional view.

A 5-minute walk from the hotel takes you to the center of town where you will find many unique and interesting bars and restaurants. All of the rooms are tastefully decorated with furniture made in Luang Prabang. Rooms come equipped with a private bathroom with hot shower, air conditioning, Cable TV, dressing table, sofa and minibar. The Villa Merry Lao-Swiss is locally owned and the owner/manager is fluent in English and German.

The Villa Merry Lao Swiss supports and raises funds for a local school.

The Villa Merry Lao Swiss themselves have donated 500,000 kip worth of much-needed books, pens and pencils to the Phon Ngam Village School. They are hoping that some of their guests will help to support their project through donations of their own. Opened in March 2005, The Villa Merry Lao-Swiss is a small family operated boutique hotel offering travelers from around the world a warm welcome. The building, constructed in 1958, was originally a storehouse for agricultural products. Some of these architectural details are still visible today and add historic charm to the hotel.

Located at the base of Phousi Mountain and close to the city centre, the hotel is a perfect starting point for touring the city. For travelers seeking more luxury than found at a traditional guesthouse, the Villa Merry Lao-Swiss is an ideal alternative. The hotel staff are more than happy to help plan special occasion packages for honeymoon couples and birthdays. The current staff of six includes three family members.
