The owner of Satri House, Madame Lamphoune Voravongsa, is originally from Vientiane. Having lived for many years in France, she now focuses her creative skills and impeccable taste on the development of Lao textiles, furnishings and fabrics, with Satri Lao Silk Gallery as a showcase for Lao artefacts.
Madame Voravongsa initiated the renovation of Satri House and opened it as a boutique hotel at the turn of the new century. Also in Luang Prabang she has added to the high quality dining choices with her restaurant The hotel.
