Traveller Comments:
"Rama Hotel staffed by a young, enthustistic team - found them helpful and very friendly. Hotel reasonably centrally located, within easy walking distance to eating and drinking places, riverside and places of interest. Room was a reasonable size, hot water was good, room reasonably clean but in need of a little TLC (Tender Loving Care), eg curtains falling down and a little dusty in corners."
Mr. ian n. - United Kingdom on 19/03/2010
"Very nice"
Mrs. Alice B. - Netherlands on 10/01/2010

Mrs. Laurence P. - France on 07/01/2010
"... price and what you get meets..."
Mr. Peter R. - Finland on 06/12/2009
"As the hotel looks a bit old, a bit of renovation will brighten things up. Thank you."
Mr. Chua Swee K. - Malaysia on 03/09/2009
"Reception Staff very helpfull and were able to solve any problems/questions i had. Breakfast was average but filling enough. Will stay at this hotel again"
Mr. Mark R. - Australia on 01/05/2009
"The bathroom was not all that clean. They were very simple accomodation with little character, and I think there are better values elsewhere. For only $10 more a night we had a more comfortable bed, better AC and fan, much cleaner bath with hot water on the main street in a guest house with much more character and a better location."
Mr. Eric H. - United States on 22/03/2009
"Nice hotel with really friendly staff; it would be so much better with a bit of maintainance. A siimple coat of paint inside and out would make suck a difference."
Mr. Patrick M. - United Kingdom on 11/04/2008
"The hotel was nice, but very very noisy almost the whole night and early morning. We had a room at the street side, maybe the others are better."
Mrs. cicely w. on 06/03/2008
"Good hotel, 15 minute walk from main town. Comfortable and clean rooms."
Mr. Harish M. - United Kingdom on 21/02/2008
"Rather tired hotel. Poor breakfast. Shower hot water only lasted 20 seconds. Other than that ok. Nice roof garden."
Mr. Michael B. - United Kingdom on 21/02/2008
"Good guest house, very clean, staff were helpful, b'fast was good. Beds are a bit hard thought!!"
Ms. Maree F. - Australia on 19/05/2007
"Shower was either boiling hot or cold, usually cold, but with the weather so hot, it didn't really matter to me. Reception staff were excellent, restaurant staff at breakfast not very friendly-some staff training wouldn't go astray. I would stay there again."
Ms. kathy q. - Australia on 24/04/2007
"No comment submitted"
Ms. Xiaoyi C. - China on 26/03/2007
"Everything was very good, only issues were the shower was unreliable and the bed was very very hard. But a definate 8 out of 10

Thank you"
Mr. Andrew A. - United Kingdom on 26/03/2007
"The $27 USD per night is far too expensive for what is provided. $20 USD per night would be the maximum allowable. And airport pick-up would greatly assist a new traveller to any country because arrivals are harassed by unprincipled touts."
Mr. Thomas V. - Vietnam on 08/03/2007
"No comment submitted"
Mr. Fukiko T. - Japan on 07/02/2007
"The lovely, friendly staff made all the difference to our stay. They could never do enough to help. Lack of hot water was our only issue."
Mr. Dan R. - Thailand on 30/01/2007
"I booked a tuk tuk from the hotel. not something I would normaly do, however the member of staff got me a good price of $18 to see the waterfalls in Luang Phrabang. After visiting the waterfall I asked to go to second one and the driver started asking for more money. I told him to take me back to the hotel where I complained, but the staff were far from interested. I was told that was the price to see one waterfall and to see the other would cost more.

The Rama is nice but certainly not worth $27 per night."
Mr. Michael S. - Thailand on 24/01/2007
"The Rama is an excellent mid range hotel which is ideally located."
Mr. Phillip H. - United Kingdom on 23/01/2007
"We stayed only one night in this hotel but we really liked it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room we stayed in spacious and clean. Breakfast was on a roof garden terrace. The location is good - close to the town cente and the night market. We got picked up at the airport very punctually.

We already had accommodation lined up for the rest of our stay in Luang Prabang but if not we'd happily have stayed for another few days."

"The staff of the restaurent (breakfast) is not equal to the other staff.. To my
opinion the restaurant might have seen better days."
Mr. Franz L. - Austria on 09/12/2006
"Rooms was comfortable; staff pleasant; breakfast very satisfactory.

Hotel is not in the center of the aciton in town, but not too far away"
Mr. Mathew T. - United States on 23/11/2006
