Luang Prabang Accommodation Le Bel Air Boutique Resort Sustainability

Caring for destination

This accommodation provider has taken action to address one or more issues (whether environmental, social or cultural) which will contribute positively to the long term viability of the destination and hence their site displays a Caring for the destination rating.

Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:

Environmental preservation.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:

Le Bel Air Boutique Resort is conscious about preserving the natural environment and helping to maintain the greenery around the Luang Prabang river front. With this in mind the resort was built on their substantial property with tree and plant conservation in mind and retained as many trees as possible.

Le Bel Air Boutique Resort has since planted more trees throughout the property including on the river front. This not only provides shade and privacy for guests, but also helps the environment and stabilises the river bank.

Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Bounsa, made me feel so welcome. He listened, was understanding and showed a caring attitude as this was my first visit to Laos. Mr Bounsa and his staff are the reason why Le Bel Air is such a wonderful, warm, welcoming place, always ready to help, always smiling, nothing was too much for Mr Bounsa and his staff - I enjoyed my stay here very much and hope to return one day soon. I will also be recommending Le bel Air to all of my family and friends. Thank you to Mr Bounsa and all of his staff for a memorable holiday - I highly recommended Le Bel Air to anyone looking for tranquility, peace, calm, yet not too far from town – you will love it. The grounds were immaculately kept, and the owner is obviously working hard to train local staff to international standards for the hospitality industry.
