"When we arrived they were building a new building for accomodations on the site. They had not told us this before we booked. We had expected complete peace and quiet and were a bit disappointed. Especially when they told us that work would begin at 8 o'clock in the morning. So they need to either figure out a clever way to perform construction as quickly as possible without any impact on guests, or they need to tell everyone before booking: "We are currently in the process of upgrading our facility. Please excuse any inconvenience." And then work as fast as possible."

"We stayed in the bungalow next to the nearby bridge. In the beginning the constant noise of motorcycles was rather disturbing, but you get used to it! However, we would have preferred a bungalow in the more quiet end of the garden. Apart from that the resort is a wonderful place and very relaxed and friendly. It's a 15-20 minutes walk to the town center but you can borrow a bicycle or arrange a transport by car."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Le Bel Air Resort. The staff were so helpful and friendly. they made the stay, and did not laugh too much at my attempts to speak Lao!!

We liked being a little out of town and did not mind walking across the wooden bridge to get to town."

"Ground floor room was incredibly noisy, with sound from the rooms above and loud music from the monastery outside beginning before dawn. It was impossible to sleep. They provide a plug-in Baygone device to ward off the very large mosquitoes. The room was also plagued with problems: the first night there was a plumbing leak that drenched the area between the beds, and the next day we were locked out of our bathroom by housekeeping, and no one had a key, which meant we had to wait for some time to get into our bathroom. Service was friendly—the staff is very young—but they are clearly still learning. The breakfast is OK, with freshly cooked eggs to order. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are attractive and spacious. We appreciated the free bicycles, as they're the perfect way to get around."
