Mr Vongsith Chittaphone was born and raised up in Luang Prabang. Previously working in finance at La Residence Phou Vou in Luang Prabang Vongsith has decided to establish his own Guesthouse; Lao Wooden House. With the help of the entire family they selected this Heritage house that is the former residence of the royal princess. The entire family will be working actively to ensure your stay is a memorable one.

"Lao Wooden House provided a very good, personalised level of service that one would not expect from a larger hotel. Good location close to River and the 'main street'. The room had an authentic feel and look about it."

"Way over-priced. This is a step above barebones accomodation. The "breakfast" is nothing more than an orange, a pad of butter and a roll. The room had no windows or any other amenities. In fact it was barely decorated. For the amount of money in Luang Prabang, this place should have been FAR superior."

"The only negative is the interior is dark due to use of dark wood paneling. For some, that might be a plus. The staff were nice. There were other inns at similar rates with a few more amenities."
