Lao Spirit Resort

Historic colonial era buildings have been reconstructed to create the public buildings of the Lao Spirit Lodge Resort, featuring a restaurant on stilts with a unique view of the Nam Khan River and the surrounding mountains. Stone paths meander between the bungalows, lit at night with terracotta patterned lamps.

Every stylish bungalow has a huge terrace with a clear view to the river and the mountains beyond. From here you can see daily life for villagers who live beside the Nam Khan • fishing, travelling in longtail and poled boats, collecting riverweed and frogging. In this unique backdrop, the view of the starry sky is amazing, and it can be enjoyed while having an open air shower in each bungalow's private bathroom extension.

Guests can book active tours such as elephant riding, trekking tours, kayaking tours, mountainbike tours or in the resort's boat to Tad Se waterfall cascades, or simply relax. Lao Spirit Resort is located in one of the most beautiful sceneries around Luang Prabang.

The Lao Spirit Restaurant is in a reconstructed colonial era building. Built of beam and torchis walls on high wooden stilts, it has a tall double pitched roof and is naturally ventilated.
