Caring for destination
Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:
Environment and Society.
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
During your Elephant Experience you will visit the Elephant Park Project which protects former working elephants by giving them a new home free from abusive and poor conditions. These elephants have been rescued from circuses and illegal traders and by comparison are now in retirement!
This elephant experience and learning program is a great example of sustainable tourism and a positive symbioses between visitors activities and community based cooperation helping to protect the elephants at the same time. Your visit really makes a difference!
