"This is a delightful spot, located on the quieter side of town overlooking the river. Great, simple decor, excellent service - a real jewel."

"We were delighted by our choice of acomodation which can be difficult to fully judge when booking on-line. A lovely hotel and we were made very welcome by the staff who couldn't do enough for you. The location is great with most of Luang Prabangs' sighte an easy walk."
Mr. James G. - United Kingdom on 10/02/2009
"The hotel is clean and well presented. Nice decor and ambience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only comments are maybe they should have tea/coffee facilities in the room. "
Mr. Eddie F. - Malaysia on 06/12/2008
"The staff at the Apsara were amazing. Mr. Ay the hotel manager and his staff were very welcoming and helpful. I arrived on the last day of the Lao New Year and Mr. Ay was waiting for me and made sure that I had a great stay from beginning to end. The room I stayed in was clean, comfortable and large with a lot of character. I fell in love with Luang Prabang - the town, the countryside and its people, and when I return it will definitely be to the Apsara hotel."

"Well placed for the main street, very friendly staff. Good restaurant. We enjoyed our stay."

"Lovely rooms. Stayed in room on top floor and looked at another on the ground floor. Could not see much difference between the rooms apart from the top one having a balcony. Both very nicely designed and furnished. However one thing lacking was a minibar / fridge. You would expect this in a hotel of this standard. Staff happy to provide ice and glasses on request though."

"The hotel has an ideal location and a great restaurant, which you may need reservations for since it is recommended around town. The rooms were very pleasant and the overall atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Great hotel!!!"
Mr. Raymond C. - United States on 25/02/2007
"Luang Prabang was wonderful. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the Apsara for a 5-nite stay they were not expecting us due to the agent failing to make necessary arrangements (although they had confirmed them with us!) . The Apsara folk were great - provided us with 1 night's accom and helped arrange the other 4 nites at 3 Nagas Hotel. Both hotels were good value and we would return to either but will probably make our own arrangements direct with the hotel to avoid similar disappointment!"
Mr. Bill K. - Australia on 09/11/2006
"Great spot, happy to accomodate all requests."
Mr. Craig D. - Hong Kong on 12/10/2006
"I was very happy with my stay at the Apsara Hotel, it was all I hoped it would be. The room was spacious and airy. The food was fantastic and the staff was friendly. I was a little disappointed with their trip and transfer arrangements. They would organize trips to the waterfall and cave for $30 each. I believe it may have been individual service, but compared to the $4 trip that was easily arranged in town, it seemed a bit ridiculous. It may have been even cheaper to hire your own tuk tuk. As for the transfer, at the airport I found an air conditioned van to bring me to the hotel for $5. At the end of my stay (5 nights in their most expensive room) the same vehicle to the airport would cost $7. When I asked why I was told "business." A rather unfortunate way to do business I think."
