Ancient Phonheuang Hotel

The Ancient Phonheuang Hotel is a new two storey hotel in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter of Luang Prabang. Sitting on the corner of a crossroads surrounded by temples, the balcony of the hotel is a prime spot to see the morning alms giving ceremonies or Tak Bat as it is known in the Lao language.

The rooms are very modern, clean and laden with amenities including LCD televisions, DVD players and fully stocked minibars. Adding to the charm the rooms are named after different animals, rabbit, snake etc. There is free Wi-Fi available in all rooms and a free pick up from the airport is offered.

Located centrally on the peninsula, the sights of Luang Prabang are right outside your front door, with Mount Phousi and the Royal Palace within 5 minutes walk. Numerous shops, restaurants, cafes, tour and travel agents are only a stroll away. There is also a handicraft shop and a massage parlour directly opposite the hotel.

DVDs are for rent at the reception. The hotel offers free collection at the airport and bus station, and there is free Wi-Fi available in all the rooms. There is no restaurant but there is a communal seating are at the side of the hotel where breakfast is served. There is also a massage parlour and handicraft shop in front of the hotel.
