"I didn't go to the hotel thos site booked for me thus I had cancelled
but I mest pay one night"
Mr. Bruno O. - France on 21/04/2010
"The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful; the room was delightful. I extended my stay at the hotel because I was so impressed. The hotel is in a busy part of town, so there is considerable noise during working hours, but it is quiet at night."
Mr. Philip W. - United Kingdom on 30/03/2010

Mr. Barend W. - Netherlands on 14/02/2010
"Welcome was somewhat over-positive. We then got the "Rat" room which is on the first floor and facing the street. The hotel and room is modern style and it was real fun watching the street life from the balcony. BUT... it's very noicy. Well until midnight there was loud music close by and around 4-5 in the morning the traffic started with tuk-tuks, motorbikes and the lot. We had to use ear plugs and even then it was hard to get a good rest. Apart from this we were happy."
Mr. Tomas L. - Sweden on 01/01/2010
"Wonderful location. We really enjoyed watching the goings on of the colourful night market from our room balcony every evening and also the procession of the orange clad monks every morning at 6.30am."
Mr. Kok Choy L. - Singapore on 26/12/2009
"The standard hotel rooms are very spacious, the 'open bathtub' in the room might seem akward but is very practical. The staff is very friendly and bends over backwards to make one's stay very comfortable. The value of the accommodation could be further enhanced by adding a little storage space for clothes."
Mr. Eduard B. - Switzerland on 18/09/2009
"Very central, and according rather more expensive - but the room was enormous, and according to my son was very comfortable"
Mr. Jay M. - Australia on 18/04/2009
"Lovely rooms and nice staff, breakfast was very good although it was a bit chilly when we stayed so could have done with cafe being warmer. Front rooms have great views of the main street and nice little balcony, but can be a little noisy in the morning."
Ms. Sue H. - United Kingdom on 23/02/2009
"Very unusual rooms, huge big kidney shaped bath in each, and very modern and well thought out and unusual decor. Would happily recommend this hotel to anyone"
Mr. Ian K. - United Kingdom on 08/02/2009
"We absolutley loved staying at the Ancient Luang Prabang Hotel, the staff were charming and made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was clean and well equipped. No complaints whatsoever, would recommend it. Some people may find it a bit noisy, with the market right outside, but we loved watching the stalls set up and close down, its a sight to behold and amazing how much can be carried on a motorbike."
Mrs. Sandy F. - United Kingdom on 08/02/2009
"Accommodation could not have been better, in excellent position with restaurant spilling onto the sidewalk and the night market practically on the doorstep i loved every minute of my stay,my room was amazing so was the staff. Highoy recommended. "
Mrs. Merylin G. - Ireland on 25/11/2008
"Very charming hotel and the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. This was the nicest hotel I stayed in Thailand/Laos. "
Mr. David M. - Australia on 23/10/2008
"What a great view from the hotel balcony! The building is beautiful, the staff kind and helpful, and you can't beat the central location. Perfect access to the evening market, mt. Phousi, and a myriad of restaurants and tour possibilities. Our room was big with a lovely bathtub and nice big bed, and the cafe downstairs made good breakfast, though I don't recommend the cakes. We were pleasantly surprised and very impressed, and had a great stay!"
Ms. Ariana R. - United States on 26/06/2008

"perfect stay in a marvelous hotel. charming with a warm people. "
Mr. Eduardo Nacur S. - Brazil on 24/04/2008
"The Ancient Luang Prabang Hotel is very conveniently situated-but at some cost! the room was extremely noisy, night time was horrendous, and although the room was beautiful,it was really cold, even when it was warm outside. We did get another blanket for the bed but even that wasnt enough-I has to try to sleep fully clothed. The reception staff were less than friendly,we has 2 days where our room wasnt cleaned and we werent picked up from the airport as arranged. However,Luang Prabang was absolutely amazing and despite me contracting food poisoning on our last night.we cant wait to go back-just not to this hotel."
Mr. Kevin W. - United Kingdom on 02/03/2008
"I asked them to replace a burned out light in the bathroom but it was never done, so one had to use the toilet in the dark."
Mr. Robert N. - United States on 17/02/2008
"The Hotel was wonderful. The staff very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend to my friends, and would love to return to Luang Prabang."
Ms. Ann Nancy M. - United States on 12/01/2008
"We had a very good stay in Luang Prabang.
I would suggest that hot water jugs be put in the room.
After making a mistake the staff very quickly fixed up the error and even sent an email after we had left to confirm it."

Mr. Lee S. - Laos on 04/06/2007
"I stayed here before and decided to stay again and I was very pleased both times. This resort is walking distance to all the street markets, temples, shops, restaurants, etc. And after about 10 pm, it's very quiet.
The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. There's even a small tv with sattelite channels,
The place has ALOT of charm and is good value for money. I'll definitely stay there again if i return to Luang Prabang. Thank you!!!!"

"Great place, perfect location at the end of the main road (therefore reasonably quiet) where it all happen...opposite to the market.
Charming nice sized rooms, very comfortable and very clean.
Although approximatif in terms of English language conversation, the personnal is trying very hard, they are helpfull and cheerful.
Would recommend to anyone as a great place to stay for a very reasonable price."
Mr. Dunand J. - France on 08/04/2007
"Great location! Central for everything. The rooms are comfiortable, spacious and beautifully furnished. The cafe makes wonderful fresh fruit in the blender with ice - scrumptious and the espressos are good too! I will stay here again IF they get wireless or broadband connections in the rooms (as advertised on the website).
Reasonably priced also."
Ms. Rae G. - New Zealand on 02/02/2007
"The hotel was fine - but our experience was marred by being robbed overnight while in the room with our camera and other items stolen...Our impression was that it had to have been an inside job - but the staff were genuine in their help (maybe the cleaning staff)..."
