Ancient Luang Prabang Hotel

The Ancient Luang Prabang Hotel is in the town centre on the main street, beside a bank, travel agency, shops and the Post Office and opposite the daily Hmong textile market. It is a couple of minutes walk to the Royal Palace Museum and the stairs at the base of Mount Phousi.

The evening fruit and food market and the tempting craft market start just outside the hotel. Close to the Mekong River, it takes around 10 minutes to walk along the main street to reach the splendid Wat Xieng Thong at the end of the peninsula. The hotel is 15 minutes drive from the airport and the bus stations.

Located on the main road going though the centre of town, the Ancient Luang Prabang is easily accessible from both the airport and the pier. Airport taxis will cost around USD $5.00 and a tuk-tuk from the pier will cost approx USD $2-3.00.
