A Gentle Outdoor Walking Tour

We will pick you up at your hotel at 8:30 for this relaxing outdoor walk. We drive to the outskirts of Luang Prabang to visit the beautifully placed Ock Pop Tok weaving centre. A guide will show you through the silk weaving process. Starting with the silkworm and finishing with the scarf. Enjoy the beautiful views on the Mekong River with a fresh cup of coffee or tea.

Around 10:00 we proceed to Ban Houy Thong, which is about 300 meters higher than Luang Prabang. Enjoy the great view on the valley from the car! We will visit the Khamu village and start a short 1,5 hour walk through the mountain rice fields and jungle forests of Laos. Your guide will answer your questions and give you background information on farming and about the life in the countryside. A fruit-refreshment after the walk is provided.

Our superb lunch will be served in a small resort in the mountains, “Western-style” or “Lao-style”. Please bring your bathing suit to enjoy the beautiful outdoor pool in the resort for a refreshing dip!

For the afternoon activity you have to make a choice. You can either stay at the resort to relax, head or visit another village called Ban Xieng Muak, it’s up to you and your level of fitness.

For cancellations 31 days or more before the tour start date, a full refund shall be issued.  For cancellations 30 days or less before the start date, no refund can be issued.
