Luang Prabang hotels and tours

Welcome to Luang Prabang!

Lost in time is the ancient former royal capital city of Luang Prabang, an enthralling town surrounded by mountains at the junction of the Mekong and its tributary, the Khan River. Luang Prabang has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995 to protect the town's 32 precious historic temples, the former Royal Palace and classic French colonial buildings from being ruined by modernity and over-building. Luang Prabang lies at the confluence of the Mekong and Khan rivers and is surrounded by mountains.

From Mount Phousi in the centre of the city there are stunning views of this magnificent UNESCO World Heritage site. [read more]
